Meet the founders behind Connexion
Melanie Mills is a visionary and results-driven leader with a proven track record in scaling businesses, driving transformation, and leading high-growth diverse teams across B2B and B2C technology sectors. Successfully navigated a strategic acquisition by Experian. She blends commercial acumen with sharp strategic execution to deliver accelerated, sustainable growth with people and relationships at the heart. Her unmatched drive stems from her personal journey as a fiercely independent woman, which fuelled her passion to give back. From this, Connexion Career Collective was born, a community connecting and developing women and allies to thrive in male-dominated industries. Melanie’s mission is clear: to empower women to achieve their full potential, unlock opportunity through connection and own financial independence.
Becky Glover is a multi-award-winning finance and technology leader, recognised for her ability to combine strategic insight with digital innovation. Becky is a board member across multiple organisations and is a Fellow of both AAT and ACCA. Becky is a trusted voice in the profession and an active speaker at leading industry forums, where she champions the power of technology to drive efficiency, clarity, and growth. Entrepreneurial by nature, she has founded and exited an e-commerce business, and is now building Connexion Career Collective alongside the other founders to create a truly impactful space for ambitious female leaders and their allies to support one another.
Lloyd is the founder of Sauced, a recruitment business that helps Software and SaaS companies build and scale their revenue teams. With 20 years’ experience in both sales and recruitment, he’s worked closely with founders, leaders, and investors across the UK, Europe, and the US. What drives him most, though, is people; connecting them, supporting them, and helping them unlock opportunities. He’s passionate about mentoring, community, and the role networks play in shaping careers. Lloyd is happily married and a proud dad to two young daughters, who inspire him every day with their determination and kindness. Outside of work, you’ll usually find him enjoying rugby, golf, fitness, or in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.
Jo Phillips is the heart behind The Woman Behind The Women, a movement helping brilliant women get paid fairly and rise into leadership. With a rich background in recruitment and learning, she’s trained thousands globally. Jo’s all about helping women ditch self-doubt, speak up with confidence, and lead with impact—because when women rise, everyone wins. Jo’s coaching has sparked salary jumps of up to £70K! She’s a certified executive coach, team coach, and Hogan assessor. A proud #IamRemarkable facilitator, Jo also hosts The Chat Womb podcast. She’s a trusted guide, speaker, and cheerleader for women ready to level up. Her superpowers? Coaching, confidence-building, personal branding, and championing inclusive leadership.
Doris is leading growth channels for CCC whilst putting the operational foundations in place. She is has 10years experience leading Sale and Partnerships across Europe, the UK, the US, and APAC. She enjoys helping businesses grow by launching new markets, closing meaningful deals, and building strong client relationships. She is passionate about collaborating with teams, mentoring colleagues, and finding creative, insight-driven ways to solve challenges and deliver results. Having previously worked alongside Mel, Doris is excited to join the Founding Team to support as many ambitious Females as possible.
Jo is building CCC’s online community, shaping content and the member experience whilst also mentoring women to build confidence on LinkedIn, find their voice and direction, and show up with clarity, without hacks, pressure, or cringe content or performative posting. Her business clients win industry-leading awards for recruitment services and candidate experience. She helps employers and talent teams improve hiring through inclusive recruitment training, recruitment audits, eLearning, and strategic advisory support. Her work focuses on making hiring more consistent, accessible, skills-based, and commercially effective, from attraction and assessment through to interviewing, decision-making, and the candidate experience.
Lyndsey is an accomplished operational leader driving growth, transformation, and profitability for agencies and scaleup companies. As a founding director of Climb Online, she built and scaled the company to an annual turnover of £8M+, achieved #6 on the UK Startups 100 list, and led it to an 8x multiple exit. She was a speaker on a panel for CCC and has been a supporter ever since, keen to give back and build a network outside of London.
Jennifer Brown is a professional services leader at Mazars, bringing strong experience in advisory, client relationships, and building high-performing teams within Manchester’s business community. She is passionate about collaboration, purposeful growth, and creating environments where people can thrive. As CCC Regional Host for Manchester, Jennifer is focused on connecting ambitious, values-driven women across sectors, creating space for meaningful relationships, shared learning, and real career momentum. She believes in the power of community to open doors, spark opportunity, and accelerate progress together.
Olivia is a Commercial Manager at Frontier, a boutique IT consultancy. She is also our Scottish Regional Host . She was first introduced to sales during her time at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where she also served as a co-lead for Scotland's Women's Network. Today, she focuses on building strong partnerships and helping organisations get the most out of their technology investments. Outside of work, Olivia loves to travel and lives in Glasgow with her dog, Niko.
Tara represents the true spirit of Connexion Career Collective she was introduced by her mentor Laura Philips and is now our Regional Sussex host. She brings expertise as a Digital Product Design Consultant helping SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups to improve their digital customer experience. Working across UX, UI, and technology, her collaborative and human-centred approach bring together senior stakeholders, engineers and marketing teams in sectors including ecommerce, travel, retail, media, ecommerce and professional services. Outside of work, you’ll find her hiking on the South Downs or selling her handmade textile crafts at local makers markets.
