I am ultimately responsible for all the non-sales functions of the business and play the role of Finance/Commercial Director, being responsible for the numbers and commercial strategy. I have worked in various finance roles for 30+ years and have been in the recruitment industry for over 20 years.
I excel in quickly being able to analyse & identify financial and commercial issues within businesses that may be holding them back. I have implemented several systems and also procedures over the years which have turned sinking companies into profitable entities within months of my recommendations.
I have successfully navigated Balance through some of the most turbulent economic times in recent history. I have managed finance teams of varying sizes from 2 to 20 and enjoy the hands-on approach and the one on one training aspect of management. I am now a mentor via the APSCO channel, Mentorjam, where I hope to share my wealth of experience and my lessons learnt and help guide other Finance Leaders.

I am a generalist marketer and product strategist with a keen interest in technology, the HR/payroll industry, and employee financial wellbeing.
I was the first employee of payroll tech start-up PayDashboard in 2015, successfully growing the business to acquisition by FTSE100 company Experian in May 2022. I was part of the management team in the M&A process, pitching to senior Directors of interested businesses, and was ultimately retained by Experian as a key member of staff to embed the product and team into our new home.
